Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I have had a rough few weeks. The last I posted was regarding the FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer). Well, I have good news... it worked! We are pregnant... with TWINS! Yes, that's right, both of our frozen gems implanted. They are fraternal and so far we have had 99% of our friends and family refer to them as a boy and a girl.
The worst part of this blessing is that I have been very sick. I have what the doctors refer to as "Hyperemesis". The definition is "a severe form of morning sickness, with "unrelenting, excessive pregnancy-related nausea and/or vomiting that prevents adequate intake of food and fluids." Hyperemesis is considered a rare complication of pregnancy." When they say severe they mean it. I've only had one trip to the ER for IV fluids. I'm hoping that's the one and only trip to the ER. They gave me Zofran and Phenegren for the nausea and vomiting. In the first week of finding out I was pregnant I lost 7lbs from not eating, drinking and vomiting. I pray that none of you ever experience this. It's worse then the worst flu or virus. The doctors say it will either subside by 14 weeks or could last the whole nine months. I'm praying for the former.
Now a few weeks later, I am feeling a little better. I can only function with the help of the meds. If I don't have them I literally would be laid up in the bed 24/7 miserable. I have been working half the week at home and the other half in the office. Its hard but parts of my job do require a visit or two to the office. The rest I can do remotely. I'm happy that I have an understanding boss. Of course I'm home today because we had a very hard night. Yesterday we attending Mac's great-nephew's funeral. Skylar was only seven, so of course my emotions got the better of me. Then it was off to work, which ended up being a busy day. Once I was home I was able to relax. Mac took his mom to the ER around 9:30pm and didn't get home until 4:30am. Then the hospital was calling at 5:30pm and Mac left for work at 6:30pm. I was up by 8:30am, took a shower and got very sick... a few times. I knew there was no way I could go to work. Mac was home by 9:30am because his boss sent him home. His mom is still in the hospital and Mac has been home sleeping since 10:30am. Tonight should be quiet. Mac's going to the Nats game with Sam and I'll go to bed early. Yay!
Since most of my followers are not on FB, I've attached the last two ultrasounds we've had taken. Because I'm high risk I will have a lot of ultrasounds. I will have more next week.
Enjoy!
