This is Mackenzie Ashley Coleman. Beautiful daughter of Wayne and Heather Coleman. We attend church together and have become very close friends over the past year. I'm posting this pic of "Kenzie". Isn't she precious? Does she look like anything is wrong with her to you? If you answered no, you're wrong. This beautiful little girl has Epilepsy. It's a neurological condition that from time to time produces brief disturbances in the normal electrical functions of the brain. A little scary huh?

Over the past year, we watched Kenzie have seizures, literally. They were so quick we didn't even know what happened. We would see Kenzie come in to church with black eyes and stitches from having a seizure and landing on the table or whatever was in her way when she went down. It was very sad to see her little face battered and bruised, but that didn't stop her from wanting to dance. Some of my best days at church have been dancing with Kenzie.

Heather and Wayne are great parents and it shows in all three of their kids. They have and will continue to do whatever it takes to help Kenzie. They are also ambassadors in getting the word out about Epilepsy. Please take a look at Kenzie's blog to read what her journeys been like (it's linked in my blog).

I am proud to report today that Kenzie has been seizure free for 40 days.
