Week 7 - IVF Journey... Divide and Conquer

Just hung up with the doctor. Here are our stats for today. Out of the 11 embryos, 2 of them are only at the 3-cell stage. The rest divided into either 5-8 cells. I got a little quiet on the phone. My doctor quickly said, "Oh no Brit, this isn't a bad phone call. It's good news. They are growing the way we want them to."

Swoosh, okay, so we will go on to tomorrow still praying that our embryos will continue to divide and conquer. Tomorrow is Day 4 and we're looking for a higher division of cells and even possibly the 8-cells to have formed into a "morula". Here is a picture of an 8-cell embryo and a morula.

Marty has a football game tonight, so I'm going to watch and enjoy my evening and try not to think of our dividing embryos. LOL.
